Eureka Photography specializes in wedding and engagement photography in the Eastern Sierra of California and the occasional Yosemite National Park wedding. I love capturing intimate moments as they happen as well as creating them through posing that appear candid and relaxed. Reach out, say hello, don’t be a stranger! I was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California… which is where I met the love of my life, Phil Wiese, at 16. I really wish I could remember the exact moment I met Phil, but I really can’t. It was at a rock climbing gym, I can tell you that much! But you know what? That’s our romantic little story. It’s like we have always known each other, and when we (*finally*) started dating, after some 6 years of friendship, it was the most seamless connection. Since then, these have truly been my most enjoyable of years, yet somehow I know the best is yet to come.

Phil & I got married in 2014. I literally planned my wedding around the photographer I wanted. I knew I wanted meaningful, heartfelt, candid pictures. Although we had a small and intimate wedding on a super budget, the photographer was my biggest expense. At this time I was already taking quite a few pictures under my  own name, Julianna Marina Photography, but it wasn’t until my own wedding that I knew I wanted to be a wedding and lifestyle photographer. The whole experience was so lovely and magical (of course with a dosing of wedding day schnanigans – that ALL weddings have) I couldn’t think of a better job then spending my day photographing that same essence for others.

Phil and I live a simple life in Bishop, California. We welcomed our son into the world March 30, 2017. We couldn’t be more proud and smitten parents. John Henry and our two adorable fur babies Lucy & Frankie fill our hearts with so much joy. You can usually find us out bouldering… or on the couch watching The Office (it’s basically the background noise to our lives).

Fun Fact: I change my hair ALL THE TIME. I joke that shape shifting is my super power… so if when you meet me and I look nothing like these pictures (LOL) you. have. been. warned.
