This little angle of a baby was only 2 weeks old when I took these pictures, just a couple weeks ago. It’s so crazy how fast your baby grows and changes that documenting wether professionally or with your iPhone (like 99% of my pictures of John Henry are on my iPhone — convenience, right?) Anyway, this session was going to be pushed back but Mama decided to arrange their schedule JUST to get these pics done pronto. They never are going to be as young as the are today.
I love photographing families in their home. This family photography session was taken in Bishop, CA — they just happened to have that AMAZING willow tree in the back yard. I told them people pay a lot of money to style their wedding with stuff like that, they replied that that tree alone was one of the reasons they bought their house.
This session was shot with my Canon 5d and my Sigma 35mm lens. I have been obsessed with using my prism with you can tell made an appearance on the 3rd image below.
Oh babies. I have always wanted to be a mom and now that I am one, it really is as good as I always hoped. Photographing other moms is becoming one of my new favorite things.
Alice and Andrew are expecting their little bundle of joy April 6, 2017. A baby girl. And they can’t be more excited. Heck, I can’t be more excited for them!! They have read the books and prepared the nursery but what is going to make these two exceptional parents is their undeniable love that they have for each other.
Congratulations to you Alice & Andrew!! You two are going to be amazing parents, I truly can not wait to meet your little girl.
Have you ever met someone who you just instantly clicked with? Katalin was that woman for me! I loved her energy and her personality — after the session we sat and had coffees together at Starbucks and it really was like sitting with an old friend.
This mama-to-be can’t be more excited about her little man, who is expected to say hello to the world in March — just a couple short weeks away!
I have been feeling so thankful for photography and the connections that I have been able to make through my camera. Katalin just reinforced those feelings ten fold. I’m looking forward to staying in touch and organizing play dates for our little ones.
This little one isn’t stranger to the wild lands of Bishop, California. Her mom & dad make sure this little jelly bean gets lots of play time and outside adventure. She surely is going to grow up to be the kind of kid who likes to play in mud, build forts and from time to time – skins a knee or two.
Emerson’s mom is an excellent graphic designer (which it doesn’t hurt to consider her a good friend!) She and I can exchange photography, baby & family portrait sessions for design. Cough cough – notice my EP logo? That’s thanks to Emerson’s lovely mom.
Well on this Friday afternoon we all snuck out to one of the many sunflower fields and photographed this little gem just as she was, Emerson.
The sunflower fields are just about gone but Bishop California has plenty to keep a photographer busy for a lifetime. Until the next photo session.
It seems like there isn’t anything more great then the love we share together. Love as a couple, love as a family. It just seems like it can’t get much better.
What a joy it was to capture some of this beautiful family’s love & goodness.
Have you ever met someone and thought “Why don’t I already know you?!” That’s how I felt when I finally met Kayla. This lady and her amazing family seemed like old friends only after meeting them briefly. It was a pleasure to play in the flowers them and I look forward to photographing them again — especially as that little man grows — seriously adorable!
These two love birds are just a couple short months away from meeting their little man. Things have warmed up quite a bit in Bishop since our wild iris photo shoot, we’re all missing the cool temps but not as much as were missing Drew & Jo. Move back anytime, it’s not the same with out you!
Hannah and Dustin are just a couple short weeks away from welcoming their baby girl into the world. It is with out a doubt that these two are going to be great parents. Their tender loving hearts already adore their dogs and I can only imagine how much more they are going to love on their baby Emerson Amelia.
