Married on a Mountain

It was June 25, 2017 that Kareen & Cody tied the knot on the top of Mammoth Mountain. Wow, what a year that was for snow! And WOW, am I super behind on blogging?!
With the 2018 wedding season ramping up and with more weddings on my docket than ever before, I’m getting super pumped to get behind the camera. Here are a few highlight shots from a beautiful day with a beautiful couple.

Daisy & Daniel

As our evening together was coming to an end, the weather was just beginning to roll in. We approached Convict Lake’s Shale Beach and all I could think of was how it was so beautifully emotional.
The wind. The waves. And of course, the love.
Alice & Andrew are Expecting

Alice and Andrew are expecting their little bundle of joy April 6, 2017. A baby girl. And they can’t be more excited. Heck, I can’t be more excited for them!! They have read the books and prepared the nursery but what is going to make these two exceptional parents is their undeniable love that they have for each other.
Congratulations to you Alice & Andrew!! You two are going to be amazing parents, I truly can not wait to meet your little girl.

Breaking into Headshots w/ Melissa

I think it’s SO so sooo important to have mentors in your life. People that believe in you and encourage you and plant little ideas in your head for success. I am SO so sooo fortunate to have a few of those very special people in my life.
One of these particular mentors is always encouraging me to push my photography & business endeavors. This mentor of mine recently got some headshots done (not by me) — and this got my wheels turning about the headshot niche of photography that I’d never thought about. So here is the first trial run, with another good friend of mine, Melissa.
Just as I feel lucky to have friends who I also consider mentors, I also feel very lucky to have friends that double as models! Cough cough, like Melissa here…
@ Home w/ Mike & Katie

—
How cute are Mike & Katie?!
This was my first “in-home” session and I think we all had a blast. In-home photo sessions are intimate & comfortable and really lets a couple’s personality shine. This session was particularly amazing because I got to partake in some of those delicious sourdough waffles they whipped up!
Mike and Katie are ALWAYS cooking up something amazing. They both navigate a kitchen like total bosses and create food combinations that are incredibly delicious and mind boggling to me. Gosh, I need to learn how to cook!
Although these two are completely comfortable lounging around the house in their pajamas they also really get after it — planning their next adventure, next mountain to climb or of course, their next dinner to host.
I am so lucky to call these 2 family and can’t wait to document their love story for years to come.

Jiselle & Brett

Jiselle & Brett came down from Mammoth Lakes to get some pictures in the wild iris fields before the flowers were done for the season — the photo session just happened to turn into an impromptu engagement session! Jiselle asked Brett to marry her just a day or two before and of course — he said yes! Congratulations Jiselle & Brett!

Emerson Amelia Celebrates 1 Year

This little one isn’t stranger to the wild lands of Bishop, California. Her mom & dad make sure this little jelly bean gets lots of play time and outside adventure. She surely is going to grow up to be the kind of kid who likes to play in mud, build forts and from time to time – skins a knee or two.
Emerson’s mom is an excellent graphic designer (which it doesn’t hurt to consider her a good friend!) She and I can exchange photography, baby & family portrait sessions for design. Cough cough – notice my EP logo? That’s thanks to Emerson’s lovely mom.
Well on this Friday afternoon we all snuck out to one of the many sunflower fields and photographed this little gem just as she was, Emerson.

The sunflower fields are just about gone but Bishop California has plenty to keep a photographer busy for a lifetime. Until the next photo session.
